SLE339 Genetics of Disease- thinking skills to prospective employers
Employers seek graduates who can analyse information, formulate conclusions and both explain and justify their findings. Thus, students who can articulate their problem solving and critical thinking skills to prospective employers will have a competitive advantage in the job market. While the case study-based approach used in SLE339 is designed to build on a 3rd year student’s critical thinking and problem-solving skills, it will not help students obtain jobs unless they can effectively articulate such skills to their prospective employers.
Write a reflective piece on your problem-solving and critical thinking skills that you can market to prospective employers
Specific goals of the refection should be to:
• Describe what you are good at, your strengths and what you enjoy doing
• Describe your problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Give specific example(s) to illustrate your problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Summarize why your problem-solving and critical thinking would be an attribute in the workplace
